Cody has significant experience representing beneficiaries and fiduciaries in contested probate and trust disputes, as well as contested and uncontested guardianships and conservatorships. Cody has litigated dozens of will and trust contests, maladministration cases, cases involving the exploitation of a vulnerable adult, and cases involving competing requests to be appointed the fiduciary of an estate or trust, or the guardian of an incapacitated individual.
Cody has also represented businesses, large and small, in litigation involving commercial disputes. He has represented businesses across many industries, including restaurants, retailers, manufacturers, financial services institutions, commercial and residential property owners, and contractors.
Cody’s construction practice includes representing contractors, subcontractors, and restoration companies in a variety of disputes, including collections, mechanics’ lien prosecution and defense, bonding issues, and defense of R.O.C. complaints and citations.
Prior to helping form Copper Canyon Law, Cody worked for a nationally-ranked law firm for nearly five years. He graduated summa cum laude from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law (Arizona State University) in 2011.
In his free time, Cody enjoys basketball, reading, playing guitar, trying new restaurants, and spending time with his wife, Tracy, and their three children.
