Cody Huffaker is a founding member of Copper Canyon Law. Cody focuses his practice on litigation, including:
1. Trust and estate litigation, where Cody represents heirs, beneficiaries, creditors, fiduciaries, trustees, and other parties in contested trust and estate cases.
2. Guardianship and conservatorship litigation, where Cody represents individuals seeking to be appointed as guardians or conservators for loved ones who have diminished capacity.
3. Financial exploitation/elder abuse litigation, where Cody represents individuals in the pursuit or defense of claims under Arizona’s Adult Protective Services Act.
4. Business litigation, where Cody represents businesses, business owners, and others in a wide array of commercial disputes.
5. Construction litigation, where Cody represents contractors and sub-contractors in cases involving the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, mechanics’ lien cases, collection disputes, and construction defect disputes.
Cody has mediated, arbitrated, and tried dozens of cases, and takes pride in tailoring each case to the client’s needs and circumstances. Recently, Cody was approved as a judge pro tempore for the Arizona Superior Court, where he acts as a settlement conference judge in contested trust and estate cases.
Prior to helping form Copper Canyon Law, Cody worked for a nationally ranked law firm for nearly five years. He graduated summa cum laude from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law (Arizona State University) in 2011.
In his free time, Cody enjoys running, hiking, backpacking, reading, playing the guitar and piano, trying new restaurants, and spending time with his wife, Tracy, and their three children.
