The “Copper Rules” – Arizona Law

The “Copper Rules” – Arizona Law

While we at Copper Canyon Law abide by the Golden Rule (treat others the way you want to be treated), we also live by the “Copper Rules” that help us reach our slogan of being “a client focused law firm, that takes a modern approach to the practice of law.”

The “Copper Rules” are as follows:

1) Collaborate with teammates

None of us can do this work all by ourselves. Collaborating requires time and a willingness to share information and ideas, but it always brings greater results and satisfaction than if we strive to do the work all by ourselves. When we do this, we all succeed and enjoy our work more.

2) Embrace hard things

While we think work should be enjoyable, we also know that, often, it will be challenging. After all, that is why clients hire us…to do things that are hard or require expertise. Some people shy away from hard things. Not us. Pushing through hard things will give greater satisfaction than just about anything else in life.

3) Communicate clearly and frequently

We do not make assumptions about people or their motives. We ask questions, listen, and look for solutions based upon actual information we know. This helps us avoid misjudgment and fosters a healthy work environment.

4) Always look to improve

We look forward to continually learning new and better ways to do our work. This makes us more efficient and improves the services that we have to offer to our clients. Improvement takes a willingness to learn and to receive and give constructive feedback to those you work with.

5) Treat clients and opposing parties with respect

Clients and opposing parties are people. People deserve respect, even when we disagree with them or their actions. This includes always speaking positively of clients and their legal matters, even when we think they may be unreasonable. Positivity is contagious, as is negativity.

6) Look for opportunities to serve

Whether this is picking up a piece of trash at the office or offering a client a compliment, looking to serve others helps both you and the individual you serve. This will create a more team-oriented environment if we each look for opportunities to serve.

We know that as we follow these Copper Rules, we will enjoy both a great work environment and success together. If you need assistance, please call 480-833-3838 or email reception@coppercanyonlaw.com.
